Glenn Alan Matthews was born in Wyandotte, Michigan on 08-12-1962 to James Harry Matthews and Muriel Jannette Rainey (Jan). Glenn grew up in Michigan until moving to Idaho. Glenn had two older brothers Terrence James Matthews and Scott Ray Matthews, a younger brother Dale Matthews, and a sister Linda Ludell Seline. He had a wonderful childhood in Sweet, Idaho with horses, playing in the pond by the house, and made lifelong friends there. He gained a step-father and a lifelong friend when his mother married Hank Baldwin. They worked together on projects and always finding a way to have fun. He gained a step-brother Steve (Chris), two step-sisters Teresa Pfeifer and Carol {Troy) Daniel} Glenn's son David was born on 02-25-1986 and Glenn learned to take care of a baby and loved it. He married Jeannie Larson and had another son Cody Alan while gaining four  wonderful  step children that he loved as his own; Michael Landreth, Rami, Danielle and April. They moved around following jobs to Nebraska and Wyoming. Glenn moved to Denver where he met Christine and they had many years there. In his time there, he managed a nursing home, hotels and restaurants. He gained two daughters with Danett and Chenell. Dannet had her husband Jonathan and their two children, TJ and Joliana who he swore were the smartest kids he ever met. The other daughter Chenell, who proceeded him in death, had her children.Marcus, Angelina, Gabriel and Natalie.

David gave him four grandchildren Chloe, Madison, Taylor and  Max. Cody {Brittney) has-five children Madalynn, Stella, Dakota, Allana, and son Orion. Michael (Carman) has two daughters Sophia and Katja. Rami Jo bas Breanna, Kylla and son Kaden, while Danielle has Rowan and Harper. He has great grandchildren which he always was proud of.

Glenn was known for kindness and the magnitude of those he helped . He lived for his faith and would tell you, "What you do for the least of my children, you do for me." He loved his church family and learned so much from Pastor Cinnamon sermons. He loved playing pool and competed in various pool tournaments around Las Vegas, Denver, and other places where he would spread his humor and end up making friends that are friends to this day. A very special man was my Glenny.

Once he moved back to Idaho, he was able to spend the final years of his life with family and friends. He loved working with his brother Scott and Diane who teased him all the time. He loved playing pool and golf with Scott and his nephew Ryan. He loved hanging out with his brothers Dale and Terry and playing pool with them. One of his joys was always spending time with his nieces and nephews, Brianne, Jerome, Sedina. He always enjoyed lunches with Linda and Andrew. He enjoyed the outdoors with his nephew Jeremy as well. He will be missed by his family and friends, but we have precious memories. A memorial service will be held at 2:00 pm Monday December 21, 2020 at the Potter Funeral Chapel in Emmett.
