George Robert Kralovansky, Sr., beloved husband, father, and grandfather, passed away unexpectedly at home in Emmett, ID, on January 9, 2024, from natural causes. George was born on July 4, 1942, in Indiana to George and Helen Kralovansky. They moved to Centerville, California (now Fremont) when he was young, where he remained until 2003 when he retired and realized his lifelong dream by moving to Emmett, Idaho.
A small business owner, George had an automotive repair shop and dabbled in sporting equipment, firearms, and pipes. He was an avid sportsman when he was younger, hunting and fishing. He also was a dedicated youth softball coach and served as a role model and father figure for many young women. His greatest passion, however, was always his cherished dogs.
He is survived by his wife of 56 years, Diane, of Emmett; his daughters, Christine (Rick), and Caryn (Jeff) of California; his son George Jr (Mark) of Connecticut; his sister, Karen (Sammy) of Hawaii; and eight grandchildren. Papa, your wit, your resilience, your attention to detail and “doing things right the first time,” and your dancing moves will be missed.
A family memorial service will be held this summer. In lieu of flowers, please make donations to a local animal shelter or rescue.
