Faye Antonia Howell

 Faye Howell, 91, of Emmett, passed away in Emmett, Idaho on December 22, 2022 with her family by her side. Faye was born December 5, 1931 in Emmett, Idaho, to Jess and Huldina Moyer. She was the 4th of 6 children.

Faye lived in Emmett her entire life. She graduated from Emmett High School in 1949. She then attended a nursing program in Nampa, Idaho where she earned her RN degree in 1951

 She married Keith Howell on July 5, 1956. They were lifelong golf partners and friends. They were blessed with 2 children: Jayne and David.

 Faye started her career working at Mary Secore Hospital in Emmett. She then went to be the school nurse for the Emmett School district where she would travel to the Sweet and Ola rural schools. She also worked for several doctors in the community and finally retired from Walter Knox Memorial Hospital (now Valor Health) in 1993. She was also the nurse of the year in 1993

After retirement, they would spend their winter months in Yuma, Arizona.

 Faye and Keith traveled and played golf in the Northwest and also loved to golf in the Idaho Couples. They were very active and longtime members of the Gem County Golf Association. Faye was an avid reader and would love to tell you about the last book she was reading. She loved to snowmobile, gamble and spend time with her family.

Faye is survived by her children, Jayne Watterlin, and Dave (Traci) Howell; 4 grandchildren; and 8 great grandchildren; brother, Paul and sister, Pauline. She was preceded in death by her husband, Keith, and her 2 sisters and a brother.

 Viewing will be the day of the service, Tuesday, January 3, 2023 from 11:00 a.m. – 12:30 p.m. at Potter Funeral Chapel with the graveside service to follow at the Emmett Cemetery at 1:00 p.m.
