Elizabeth Sears

 Elizabeth Anne Sears, 78, of Mountain Home and recently of Emmett passed away peacefully at a care facility in Emmett on Saturday, January 28, 2023. She was born January 26, 1945 in Wayne County, Indiana to Harold and Ruth Davenport as one of 3 children.

 Liz grew up and graduated high school in Indiana. A couple years after graduation, Liz met Larry Sears. They married September 26, 1964. Two sons would bless their lives, Jeff and Steve. They established a new life together in the military as Larry served in U.S. Air Force for 24 years. Liz followed Larry with the boys to many of Larry's assignments in locations around the world. As a mother, she made sure the boys had everything they needed, especially good knowledge and involvement in athletics. Their last station was at the Mountain Home Air Force Base. As a result, Mountain Home became their home for 38 years.

 After raising the boys Liz expounded upon her passion for quilting & sewing. She would share her talents by making things for others. She had many pets through the years and loved them dearly. Liz's love for the Lord was evident by those who knew her. She was involved in teaching Sunday school classes for the youth at the 1st Southern Baptist Church in Mountain Home.

 Liz was preceded in death by her parents and all her siblings. She is survived by her husband, Larry; sons, Jeff (Brenda) and Steve (Amelia); 4 granddaughters, Crystal, Toni, Paige and Desiray; 2 grandsons, Anthony and Patrick as well as 12 great grandkids.

 A graveside service for Liz to be laid to rest at the Idaho State Veterans Cemetery will be held Thursday, March 9, 2023 at 11:00 AM. Services are in the care of the Potter Funeral Chapel of Emmett.
