Eddie Williams of Horseshoe Bend, Idaho passed away of a heart attack on July 13,2021, at the age of 60, with his family by his side.
Eddie was born November 22, 1960 in Superior, Montana. He lived there with his family until they moved to Horseshoe Bend, Idaho in 1969. He went to elementary school in Horseshoe Bend where he made many lifelong friends. He attended high school at Garden Valley where he played football, enjoyed performing in drama, and was an outdoor school counselor. He went on his first trip to England in high school and he loved it so much, he went again years later. After high school, he attended Boise State. He was a lifelong bronco fan. After college he started his career at Denny’s and worked his way up to management. This job took him all over the United States. He made friends everywhere he went. After Denny’s he moved to Denver, Colorado for many years. He worked at DDRC and loved all of his clients and co-workers. Denver was his home away from home. He loved it there and had so many friends. “Go Broncos.” Eddie found an amazing home in Maricopa, Arizona and found a new adventure. He was surrounded by his friends and his family loved to visit him. After many years of traveling around, Eddie decided to come home to Horseshoe Bend, Idaho where he could be close to his family. While he was home he helped take care of Gene Hess and worked at the school. Both of which he loved doing. Eddie made a huge impact on all the students and staff. He will be remembered for his sense of humor and his kind heart.
Eddie is survived by his brothers; Norman Johnston, John Williams (Irene), sister Rossanne Beckman, (Larry) all from Horseshoe Bend; sister Marlette Pogue, (Steve) of Genesee, Idaho; Aunt Lucille Westgard, (Lyle) of Montana; numerous nieces and nephews; great nieces and nephews; and great-great nieces and nephews. He was Uncle Eddie to many.
He is prceded in death by his parents; Fern and Ross Woods and Eddie Williams, Sr.; Aunt Shirley Maxwell, Uncle Gerald Wilkerson; sisters Sharon Moody (George), Pam Geer, Earline Williams Gossett; brother Philip Williams; great nephew DJ Youren and his grandparents.
A public viewing will be held from 5 to 7 pm on Friday, July 23, 2021 at the Potter Funeral Chapel in Emmett.
Memorial services are scheduled for August 7, 2021 at 11:00 am at the Horseshoe Bend High School gym. There will be Celebration of Life following at the Horseshoe Bend Park (potluck style.)
