Donna Lorene Waters

Graveside service for Donna Lorene Waters 74 of Emmett, passed away Friday March 5, 2021 at home, will be held at 2:00 pm Wednesday March 10 at the Emmett Cemetery.  Services are in the care of the Potter Funeral Chapel Emmett.  Donna was born on September 16, 1946 at Aguadilla, Puerto Rico to James and Pauline Crawford Holsey.  She lived in various places growing up because her father was in the Air Force.  The family settled in Emmett in the early 1960’s.  She married Jerry Waters on September 25, 1965 at Emmett where she has since resided.  Donna worked as a cook at the Stokely-VanCamp cannery and later cooked at the Rainbow Café.  She attended Boise State University and later became employed with the Idaho State Parks and Recreation Department.  Following that she worked for the Commission of the Blind as a bookkeeper of the Idaho State School and Hospital. Eventually she worked as an auditor for the Health and Welfare Department.  That followed with a position for 15 years at EOA.  She enjoyed drawing, painting, knitting, crocheting, ceramics, camping, boating, and sight-seeing.  Survivors include husband Jerry Waters; children Mark Waters of Emmett and Mike (Kim) Waters of Emmett; grandchildren Candice Waters, Christopher (Bre’Annen)Waters, Joey(Jamie) Waters,  Sarah (Christopher) Seitz, Elaina Waters, Trever (Alyssa) Cochran, Talarie Waters, Tanner Waters, Taber Waters; Great grandchildren Lauren Cochran Maison Manery, Khloe Waters, Tucker Butler, Lyla Waters, Hayden Waters, Caleb Waters, Tempy Waters, Gabby Moyer, Izaak Moyer and Elijah Seitz; brother Jim (Wanda)  Holsey of Montrose, Colorado.  Preceded in death by one brother, one sister, and parents, several nieces and nephews. Memorials may be sent to EOA.
