Obituary

Dee Moffat, 77, of Emmett passed away at her home July 5, 2023.  Dee was born December 27, 1945 in Idaho Falls, Idaho to Frank and Edith Price.  She was 1 of 3 children.  Dee grew up in Mudd Lake and graduated from Terreton High School in 1964.
After high school, Dee went to Secretary School in Idaho Falls and married a Navy Submariner.  To this union came Dee’s only daughter, Sonja Dee.  They divorced 4 years later.  Nearly 1 year later, Dee met and married, Dennis Moffat, another Navy Submariner.  This marriage lasted 54 years until Dee’s passing.
Dee worked 4 years for the Gem County clerk’s office, 29 years with the State of Idaho; working in health and welfare, the finance department, but mostly with the State Transportation Department.   Dee’s hobbies included camping and fishing.  Fishing was her #1 choice of recreation.  Dee never knew a stranger and easily became an instant friend.
Dee was preceded in death by her parents and her brother, Glen.  She hadn’t heard from her sister, Janet, since 1996.  Dee is survived by her husband, Dennis and her daughter, Sonja (Rogelie) Rodriguez.
Graveside services will be held at 1:00 PM on Monday, July 10, 2023 at the Emmett Cemetery.
