Darrel Earl Whitsell

  Darrel Earl Whitsell passed away on his birthday, Oct. 29, 2024. He was born with his twin sister Karrel in 1937 to John and Florence Whitsell in Emmett, ID.
  After attending Emmett High School, where he was an outstanding athlete, Darrel served in the U.S. Army in Germany. Returning to Idaho and graduating from ISU in 1968, he had a career as a pharmacist. He and his wife Betty lived in Milwaukee, Oregon, until their divorce in 2017, when he moved to Boise. 
  Darrel always had a special love for children, dogs, and cars. He will be remembered fondly by his stepchildren: Lynette Arnell and Greg Beach, and many nieces and nephews.
  He was preceded in death by his parents, and his sisters, Norma Lawler, Phyllis Echeverria, Mary Bennett, and Karrel Whitsell. 
  His funeral service will be held at Potter Funeral Chapel in Emmett, ID at on Friday, November 8, 2024 at 11:00 AM. Charitable donations may be offered in his name to The Idaho Humane Society.
