Daniel LeBeau Obituary

It is with heavy hearts that we announce the unexpected passing of Daniel Kevin LeBeau on Monday, February 10, 2025, at the age of 64. A beloved husband, father, grandfather, and friend, Dan’s life was one of adventure, dedication, and unwavering generosity.
Born on September 14, 1960, in Klamath Falls, Oregon, to David and Virginia LeBeau, Dan spent his childhood in Shingle Springs, California. He formed lifelong friendships while riding motorcycles, playing sports, and cultivating a deep love for music. It quickly became evident that Dan was born to play football, excelling on the field and earning numerous accolades before graduating from Ponderosa High School in 1978. His talent attracted many collegiate recruiters, but it was Boise State University that won his heart.
That same year, Dan married the love of his life, Cynthia “Cindy” Knott, and together they built a beautiful family, welcoming their firstborn, Craig, in 1979, followed by Kelli in 1980. At the age of 18, Dan made the personal choice to be baptized into The Church of Jesus Christ of Latter-day Saints, a decision that guided his life in faith and service. His time at Boise State was filled with great successes, none more memorable than being part of the 1980 National Championship football team.
Dan graduated from Boise State in 1982 with a bachelor’s degree in accounting and continued his education at Brigham Young University, where he earned his master’s in accounting in 1984. With his growing family, he returned to Boise to begin his career in public accounting. In 1986, during tax season, Dan and Cindy welcomed their youngest daughter, Cortney, completing their loving family. Dan later founded LeBeau & Associates CPA in 1990, a thriving business that continues to be operated by his son, Craig.
Dan worked hard and played even harder. He lived life with an adventurous spirit, becoming a pilot who loved flying into the backcountry, taking road trips on his Harley with Cindy, and embracing every thrill the great outdoors had to offer. Whether snow biking, skiing, fishing, or navigating the Middle Fork of the Salmon River, Dan made the most of every experience. He and Cindy traveled the world together, and he even obtained his captain’s certificate, co-captaining a catamaran alongside cherished friends as they explored breathtaking island destinations.
A man of deep faith, Dan loved the Lord and served diligently in every church calling he held. His testimony of the Savior and the Plan of Salvation influenced everyone he met. One of his favorite hymns, Because I Have Been Given Much, embodied the way he lived his life—always giving selflessly to others with his whole heart.
Dan was a proud member of the Bronco Alumni Association, cherishing the lifelong brotherhood he shared with his Boise State teammates. Above all, his greatest joy came from spending time with his family, especially his grandchildren, cheering them on at their sporting events and celebrating life’s milestones.
Dan is survived by his devoted wife, Cindy, whom he lovingly called "Lovie"; his children, Craig (Dawn) LeBeau, Kelli (Sean) Summers, and Cortney (Patrick, deceased) (Josh Elordi); his mother, Virginia LeBeau; his sister, Michele LeBeau Kelley; and his cherished grandchildren, Jordynn, Connor, Jaxson, and Gemma LeBeau, Abbie, Beau, Jessie, Gunner, and Hunter Summers, Preslee, Addilee, and Traxton Johnson; and bonus grandchildren, Isaac, Ella, and Ryker Elordi. He also leaves behind many beloved nieces, nephews, and his loyal dog, Charlie.
He was welcomed into heaven by his father, David; his grandfather, Emil; his brother, Michael; his son-in-law, Patrick; and many other loved ones who passed before him.
Dan’s legacy of love, faith, adventure, and generosity will live on in the hearts of all who had the privilege of knowing him. His presence will be deeply missed, but his spirit will forever inspire those who continue to walk the path he so brightly illuminated.
