Drensel Haws, a long-time resident of Emmett, Idaho, passed away on May 27, 2018 at the age of 92 years old. He was born on April 17, 1926, in Colonia Juarez, Mexico, the seventh child of fifteen to David Moses and Glenna B. Haws. Drensel spent 70 years married to the love of his life, Elaine Hatch. He loved to play his harmonica and taught anyone willing to learn. He and Elaine had a small band that would play for events like the Cherry Festival and Harvest Festival in Emmett. Drensel was proud to be a Veteran of the US Navy having served in WWII.
Drensel is preceded in death by his wife, Elaine; his parents, David and Glenna Haws; an infant son, Dennis Drensel Haws, and grandsons Bryson Richins and Damond Farar. He leaves his children, Cheryl (Dan) Farar, Nick Haws, Vicki (Ward) Weaver, Tonie (Hal) Richins, Margaret Dawson, David (Joani) Haws, and Cindy (Steve) Vickery. His posterity includes 39 grandchildren and 120 great grandchildren.
Funeral services will be held at 10:00 AM on Monday, June 4th, 2018 at the Emmett LDS Stake Center. Viewing will take place Sunday, from 6:00 - 8:00 PM at the Potter Funeral Chapel. Interment will follow services at the Bramwell Cemetery.
