She was born on Sept. 21, 1927 in Hamilton, Ohio to David Joseph LaMarche and Nellie Elizabeth Gignillait. She grew up in Worcester where she graduated from Commerce High School.  She married Mauri Henry Knaab on Jan. 1, 1945 in Worcester, Mass.  They moved to Florida in 1956.  Their marriage was later sealed in the Orlando LDS Temple in 1995.  Later in life she graduated from Palm Beach Junior College and Florida Atlantic University with degrees in music.

She was an active member of The Church of Jesus Christ of Latter-day Saints for over 65 years, where she loved to teach and serve in many capacities.  Her favorite position was Choir Director.  She taught music in school for 20 years in Palm Beach County, Florida.

Her husband preceded her in death in 2012.  Following that occurrence, she left her home in Florida where she had lived for over 50 years and moved to Ontario to live with her daughter and son-in-law.  She is survived by her daughter and son-in-law, Linda (Ralph) Astle; her special niece, Miriam Hebert Stocking (Larry) who she considered a second daughter and raised after her mother’s death; 11 grandchildren and 20 great grandchildren whom she loved dearly.

Funeral services will be held at 1:00 p.m. on Monday, December 2, 2019 at the Ontario Stake Center of The Church of Jesus Christ of Latter-day Saints, 1705 NW 4th Ave., Ontario.  There will be a viewing at the Church one hour prior to the Service.  Burial will be held at a later date in Lake Worth, Florida.  Local arrangements are with the Potter Funeral Chapel in Emmett.
