It is with heavy hearts that we announce the passing of our beloved mother, grandmother, and great-grandmother, Crystal Book, who passed away peacefully on November 27, 2024, at the age of 94. Crystal was born on March 13, 1930, in Sewal, Iowa, to Fern and Clarence Rogers.
Crystal lived a full and rich life, marked by deep love for her family. She was a woman of grace, warmth, and kindness, and she had a special way of making everyone feel loved and valued. She loved catching up with people and never knew a stranger. In her lifetime, Crystal, found great joy in her kids, grandkids, great-grandkids, and many other family members and friends.
Crystal was preceded in death by Daniel H. Book (Husband), Leonard Rogers (Brother), Darlene Bowers (Sister), her brother-in-law Leonard Bowers, her son-in-law Chuck Kuhlman, niece Glenda Rogers, and her parents.
She is survived by her children, son Daniel D. Book (wife Sally Book), and daughter Dianna Kuhlman. Her grandchildren, David Johnson (wife Tracy), Tricia Book, Kim McLain, Travis Book (wife Angie), and her great-grandchildren, Chase McLain, Carissa McLain, Kurtis Martinez, Jesse McCory, Zoe Book, and Jacob Book. She is also survived by her sister-in-law Bernice Rogers, her nieces, a nephew, and their families. Crystal is also survived by her very dear friend, Marilyn Brown.
A viewing will be held on Thursday, December 5, 2024, from 5:00-7:00 P.M. at Potter Funeral Chapel in Emmett, Idaho. A memorial service to celebrate her life will be held at Potter Funeral Chapel in Emmett on Friday, December 6, 2024, at 11:00 A.M., with a graveside service to follow at the Emmett Cemetery.
The family would like to send a deep and sincere thank you to Truewood by Merrill's staff for making a place Crystal loved to be, and to the team at Bluebird Hospice for taking such good care of Crystal and her family.
Though she is no longer with us, her spirit will live on in the hearts of all who had the privilege to know her. She will be deeply missed but never forgotten. Rest in peace, Crystal. You will always be in our hearts!
