Connie Burlile was born Connie 0. Maupin, May 27, 1950 to Samuel A. and Elsie (Kersher) Maupin. Connie took the name Holloway after Elsie married Kenny Holloway. Elsie then married Adolpho Ugalde who became "Dad" and raised Connie for the greatest part of her life as his own. He was always Dad.
She attended schools all over southwestern Idaho, southeastern Oregon and northern Nevada since her Dad was a buckaroo and Mom was a ranch cook. She once said between her freshman year and graduation the family moved seventeen times. She graduated from Crane Union High School in 1968, the last of the boarding schools in the United States.
After graduation she moved to Boise, Idaho and began working many different jobs, eventually becoming a CNA. She worked 16 years as a physical therapy assistant before her career in assisted living care then onto hospice care. She had a strong, loving and compassionate work ethic that made her an exemplary care giver.
In 1970 she married Ron McCracken and two children were born of the marriage, Tami and Kelly. Connie was raising her kids as a single mom when she met Les Burlile, and in 1987 formed their blended family of Tami, Kelly, Casey and Cody for nearly 35 years. Connie was known to many as Connie, Consuello, Mom, Grandma, Tia and Amuma.
She was preceded in death by her parents, Adolpho and Elsie Ugalde and her best friend Bessie Rayne.
She is survived by her husband Les, children Tami, Kelly, Casey (Karol), and Cody (Chris). Six grandchildren, Alisyn, Megan, Tanner, Shelby, Cassidy and Cord. One great-grandson and the brightest light of her life, Decklyn, brothers Ken and Dave Holloway and Kap Ugalde (Cathy).
Extended brothers and sisters: Phil Maupin, Sam Maupin, Georgia Stimmel and Cindy Bidwell. Connie had a very special bond with cousins Teri Nielsen, Howard Maupin and Jim Maupin, many nieces, nephews, cousins and dear friends. She loved with her whole heart, whether it be family, friends, dogs, cats, goats or horses and will be greatly missed by all.
At her request there will be no service but a celebration of life will be held at a date to be determined.
