Christopher “Chris” Juan Beitia, age 64, passed away at his home in Emmett, Idaho, on November 10, 2025, after a long and courageous battle with cancer.
Born on July 22, 1961, in Boise, Idaho, Chris grew up in Emmett and carried a deep love for his hometown throughout his life. He embraced adventure and found joy in life’s simple pleasures. Known for his love of the open road and the great outdoors, Chris lived life with passion and laughter.
Chris worked for nearly 20 years at City Transfer Redi-Mix. He was good at what he did and took pride in his work. He later worked for Wood Brothers Trucking and Excavating until he retired.
An avid outdoorsman, Chris treasured the companionship of his beloved hunting dogs and spent countless days hunting and fishing across Idaho’s rivers, lakes, and mountains. Recent fishing and camping trips with John, Jason, Randy, Buck (John), and Dave brought him immense happiness—whether catching steelheads or simply camping at the property, those moments meant the world to him. His laughter, stories, and zest for life left a lasting impression on everyone he met. Chris was the life of the party, effortlessly bringing joy wherever he went.
He also found true freedom riding his Harley-Davidson, which was more than just a motorcycle—it was a symbol of his adventurous spirit and love for the open road.
Chris was preceded in death by his parents, John and Dorothy Beitia. He is survived by his son, John; his stepdaughter, Mandi (Jason); granddaughters Sofia and Aubree; and his brother, Steve (Sue) Beitia. He also leaves behind niece Becki Woodbury (Jay), nephew Brian, great-nieces Courtney and Lily, great-nephew Carter, and many dear friends who will forever remember his vibrant spirit.
The family also wants to give special thanks to those who were always there with unwavering support and kindness: John Eiguren, Randy Rieman, Dave and Jennifer Adams, Mike and Robin Rood. Your generosity and care will never be forgotten.
Although no longer married, Pam Beitia remained a constant source of support and care for Chris during his illness, and her commitment is deeply appreciated by his family.
A graveside service will be held on November 24th at 3:00 p.m. at the Emmett Cemetery. In lieu of flowers, the family encourages friends to honor Chris’s memory by spending time outdoors, cherishing moments with loved ones, or donating to the Make-A-Wish Foundation or BACA(Bikers Against Child Abuse).
Chris’s memory will live on with every sunrise over the mountains and every winding road that calls to those who ride.
