Charles Edward Walker passed away November 30, 2024 at the age of 80 in Emmett, ID. Charles, better known as Charlie to many, was born to Charley and Frances Walker on November 20, 1944 in Turlock, CA.
Charlie was a kind, honest, and easy-going person. He grew up in the years following World War II and would go on to serve 8 years in the United States Navy. His time in the navy included being part of the Vietnam War where he earned the National Defense Medal, Vietnam Campaign Medal w/ Device, Vietnam Service Medal w/ three Bronze Stars, and a Navy Unit Commendation.
Charlie was proud of his Native American ancestry and enjoyed having the nickname, Buffalo Charlie. He was truly a jack of all trades and could fix anything that needed fixed. His special talents included being a skilled mechanic, locksmith, electrician, plumber, artist and musician. He could play any instrument and said he tried to join a big band, but he was too short.
Charlie loved life and loved Jesus. May he live and rest in God's joy and peace where we'll see him again on the other side of eternity.
