Obituary

On May 8, 2023, Charles N. Loyd, passed away at the age of 63, at his home in Nampa.  Chuck, as he was known by family and friends, was born on January 10, 1960, in Boise, Idaho, to Lorraine Loyd (Campbell) and Charles Loyd.  He was the youngest of seven siblings.

In April of 1983 Chuck married Laurie Breach.  They were blessed with four children: Nick, Chris, Shelby and Megan.  After 19 years of marriage, they divorced in 2002.

Chuck loved living in Idaho and enjoyed camping, fishing, boating, water and snow skiing.  He developed a love of motorcycles and became an avid rider.  He also developed a love of playing the guitar.

Chuck loved his mother beyond words and showed that love and devotion by creating and tending to her beautiful yard and flowers, which have been enjoyed by his family and which have been admired by many who have visited over the past many years.

Chuck always made sure his mom’s house was beautifully decorated for the Christmas holidays with so many lights and displays—the best in the neighborhood!  July 4th was also a special treat as Chuck would put on a pyrotechnics display for all to enjoy.  He loved it when the little ones were able to take part.

Chuck spent many years driving truck and operating heavy equipment.  At the time of his passing, Chuck was a valued employee of Capital Paving.

Chuck is survived by his mother, Lorraine Campbell and four sisters, Carol (Gary) Heppler, Diana Zavala, Peggy Davis, and Rose Eggers.  He is also survived by his four children, Nick (Tawni), Chris (Beth), Shelby (Celso), and Megan (Richard), as well as twelve grandchildren.  He was also the “cool uncle” to numerous nieces and nephews.

Chuck was preceded in death by his father, Charles Loyd; his step-father, William “Bill” Campbell; his brother, Larry; his sister, Patricia “Patty”, and his brothers-in-law, Joel Eggers and Widdy Davis.

Viewing will be from 6:00-8:00 P.M. on Wednesday, May 17, 2023 and Funeral services will be at 3:00 PM on Thursday, May 18, 2023, both at the Potter Funeral Chapel.  Burial will follow at the Sweet Cemetery.

Chuck will be forever in our hearts.
