Cedric Earl Gutenberger passed away May 3, 2024 in Emmett, Idaho surrounded by loved ones. He was a loving husband, father, grandfather and great-grandfather.
He was born October 10, 1936 in Johnson, Wisconsin to Stewart William Gutenberger and Agnes Florence Stava. His parents moved to Nampa, Idaho when he was three years old. He went to all of elementary and primary school in Nampa, Idaho. Earl graduated from Boise State with a bachelor's in business.
He married Mahala Brumback and they had two children together, Allen Cedric (Marian Lynn) Gutenberger and Steve Earl (Susan) Gutenberger. A few years later they divorced.
Earl joined the Navy and served in the Philippines. He was married to Lorna Fugal. They have been married for 66 years. They have five children together: Debra Joann Burt, Paul Earl Gutenberger, Judy Yvonne (John) Farish, William Stuart Gutenberger and Roy David (Cindy) Gutenberger. He worked for the US Forest Service as a purchasing agent for over 30 years. He retired in 1993. Earl loved to fish, garden and read.
He is survived by 20 grandchildren, 27 great grandchildren, nephews and nieces. He is preceded in death by his parents, his three brothers, two sisters, one daughter-in-law and one great granddaughter. His celebration of life will be held May 15th, 11:00 AM at The Church of Jesus Christ of Latter-day Saints at 521 S. Plymouth Ave., New Plymouth, ID 83655.
