Carl Robert Rains Jr.

  Carl Robert Rains Jr. died January 11, 2021 at his home in Emmett, Idaho.  He was born on January 14, 1931 to Carl and Meta Rains.  He attended county schools and graduated from Emmett High School in 1949.   Carl served in U.S. Navy during the Korean War.

  Carl married Geraldine Scybert on April 20, 1956.  They lived in California for 11 years and later moved back to Emmett in 1968.  He retired from Boise Cascade Mill after 25 years.

  He was preceded in death by his parents; son-in-law, Rick Martin and his great-grandson Jude Meyers.

  He is survived by his wife, Geraldine; his sister, Betty Martz and half sister, Kathy Hoefer (Mike);  his children; Randy (Beth), Barb Martin, Rick (Julie); Ron (Zoe) and Beth Rains.  13  grandchildren, 10 ½  great-grand children, and many nieces, nephews and cousins. 

  A celebration of Life will be held at 10:00 am on April 17, 2021 at New Life Christian Center in Emmett, Idaho.  Burial was held at the Idaho State Veterans Cemetery at an earlier date. Under the direction of the Potter Funeral Chapel.
