Bettie Bernice Lucas

 Bettie Bernice Lucas 72 of Emmett, passed away August 5, 2021 at her home in Emmett.

 She was born October 7, 1948 in Vincennes, Indiana, where she was raised with 11 other brothers and sisters. She was a strong, independent woman with a heart bigger than one could even imagine. Bettie worked hard for many years, and overcame many obstacle and trials. She had the pleasure of becoming a nurse and helping others at a younger age, then as she began to grow her own little family, she took on retail and Management of her hometown store for many years. Then took on another major role in retail in Garden City whilst making many new lifelong friends.

 Although she was such a hard worker, she was even more of an amazing mother, and extraordinary wife to her husband Larry. They were married October 11, 1987; just a few days after her birthday. Bettie had 4 wonderful biological children, and took in 3 more by marriage and even adopted 1 more, making her mother of 8, along with later becoming a most important role as a grandmother to even more to come. This woman was the most forgiving and loving woman, and always made sure that everyone was safe, fed, and rested before she would rest. All the way up to the day, she finally decided to rest for herself on August 5th, 2021. She will never be forgotten for she was so important in so many lives. With us she will forever live on, giving us hugs and advice through our memories. We Love you forever.

 Funeral Services will held at 2:00 pm on Friday, August 13, 2021 at the Potter Funeral Chapel in Emmett.

Burial will be in the Idaho State Veterans Cemetery.
