Ben E. Nickerson

Ben Earl Nickerson, aged 92, passed away peacefully in his home in Emmett, Idaho, on October 7, 2020.  He was born February 20, 1928 to Hume Frederick and Vergie Mabel (Johnston) Nickerson in Severn Bridge, Ontario, Canada as the fourth of four children.

He was raised in Ontario, Canada, where he met and married Sheila Jean Burrell in 1950.  They celebrated their 70th wedding anniversary early this year!   

Ben was always a hard worker, a beautiful craftsman, and a fabulous storyteller.  He loved his family, the Lord, the outdoors, and animals of all sorts.

He was preceded in death by his parents, all three siblings, and one grandson.  The rest of us will miss him terribly.  He is survived by his wife, Sheila Jean, and by all 5 of their children; Gail Knecht, Jennifer LeDoux, Jo-Anne Munk, Holly Johnson, and Michael Nickerson, 17 grandchildren, and many great-grandchildren.
