Barbara Jean Timmons Boardman, age 76, passed away peacefully on December 18, 2025, in Emmett, Idaho. She was born on March 9, 1949 in Lexington, Nebraska.
Barbara was preceded in death by her parents, one brother and one sister. She is survived by her two sisters, her four children—William C. Boardman (Kami), Julie M. Stathis (Steve), Jenny L. Biggers (Mike), and Richard T. Boardman (Carol) as well as three grandchildren (Kara Allen (Dakota), Matthew and Austin) and two great-grandchildren (Ayden and Barry)
Barbara spent much of her working life caring for others. She worked at Micron for five years, then dedicated over ten years to working with children and later adults with disabilities. For five years, she operated a certified family home, opening her own home and heart to those in her care. After suffering a stroke in 2017, she was forced to retire.
She was a devoted member of the Jehovah’s Witness community and valued the fellowship and faith it provided.
Barbara was a very independent and private woman, but those closest to her knew her deep love for family and her willingness to do anything for them. She had a special love for dogs, especially boxers, and often spoke fondly of her favorite, Ozzy, long after his passing.
A celebration of life will be planned for June 2026.
Barbara will be remembered for her quiet strength, compassion for others, and the love she held for her family.
