Anthony "Tony" Layne Obituary

   Tony Layne, age 44, died Friday, February 2, 2024, in Emmett, Idaho of natural causes. Tony was born on April 28th, 1979, in Emmett, Idaho to Doug Layne and Kim and JoAnn Webb. 
   He graduated from Emmett High School in 1997 where he excelled in sports, especially football. Tony spent the majority of his life working in the woods as a logger running equipment. He loved the solitude of working in the woods and enjoyed living in his small hometown where he volunteered on the local fire department.  
   Tony married Mary Hutchens in 2002 and had his two children, Josie and Taylor. His children were his whole life and he especially enjoyed spending time with them camping and riding four-wheelers. Tony was a quiet soul, but he was extremely caring and protective of his family and the ones he loved. 
   Tony is survived by his daughter, Josie (Gage) Barney; his son, Taylor Layne; his grandson, Baron Barney; his mother, JoAnn Webb; his dad, Kim Webb; his father, Doug Layne; his grandmother, Kay Webb; his brother, Troy (Christy) Webb; his brother, Travis (Jocelynn) Webb; his sister, Krystal (Justin) Woolston; and 7 nieces and nephews.
   There will be a Celebration of Life on February 6, 2024, at 11:00 am at the Potter Funeral Chapel, Emmett, ID.
