Annette Rae Helmick Lloyd Roberts, 60 passed away unexpectedly but peacefully into the arms of Jesus November 22, 2025 at the home of her nephew, Ryan Helmick.
Annette was born August 14, 1965 in Emmett, Idaho to Robert and Shirley Helmick. She would say, that she had “a happy childhood and the most amazing parents in the world”. She graduated from Emmett High School in 1983.
Annette met the love of her life, Ryan Lloyd in the fall of 1982 and they were married on June 27, 1985. They lived in New Meadows initially, then Emmett, on to Boise and then back to Emmett where they ultimately settled. They shared two beautiful children together, Andrea and Derick, before the heartbreaking loss of Ryan to diabetes in January 1996. Annette’s greatest support system, her mother had already passed in 1995 after suffering an aneurism. In spite of these crushing losses, Annette determined to be the best mommy she could be. Through these very difficult times, Karen Lloyd and Robin Pinkston were there to give her support and assist with the children.
In 1997 an old friend re-entered Annette’s life and she and George Roberts began seeing each other. A “little bundle of joy” as Annette would say resulted from this relationship and Raschelle was born on April 30, 1998. Annette and George married in February of 1999. It was then that Annette gained three new children to love and care for. Nicole, Holliann and Kyle worked their way into her heart, and they became one big family. Although the marriage ended in 2010, she and George remained friends and she enjoyed being a mom to all of the kids.
In 2012 Annette lost her “daddypoo” to cancer and in 2013 her only sibling, Tina was taken in a car accident. The pain and loss were devastating, but somehow Netty always found the strength and courage to move forward. She became mom to Ryan and Jacob, Tina’s twin boys. Her heart and home just continued to grow. She was always there for her kids and tried to constantly help them through the ups and downs of life. Love sometimes needs to be tough, but that was very hard for Annette. Her house was never too small or her wallet too empty to put it all out there for her family.
Annette will always be remembered for being a hard worker and an overcomer. Friends and acquaintances all knew they could depend on Netty to be there for them. Life definitely had a way of beating Annette up and in September of this year she reached out to God in desperation for his peace and help. She gave her life to God and began a quest to build a relationship with Him. Oh the peace it brings knowing that because she accepted Christ as her Savior she is alive in heaven with Him. Netty will be forever loved and missed.
Annette is survived by her eldest daughter, Andrea Dawn Lloyd, son, Derick Robert Lloyd, daughter, Raschelle May Roberts, nephews, Ryan and Jacob Helmick, stepchildren, Nicole Rose Roberts, Holliann Marie Dodd, Kyle Timothy Roberts and grandchildren.
Funeral service will be December 6, 2025 at 11:00 am and are under the direction of Potter Funeral Chapel 228 E. Main Street in Emmett, Idaho.
