Robert Chinnock, “Bob”, entered into rest in Emmett, Idaho on Sunday, December 15, 2019 at a local hospital. He was born in Cleveland, Ohio on June 7, 1928 to Burnett and Helen Chinnock. He grew up and was educated in Cleveland.
In 1950, he moved to Van Nuys, California and went to work for General Motors Corporation at the Van Nuys Plant. In 1959 he married Marsha Mayer. He and Marsha moved to Simi Valley, California where they raised a family which grew to two daughters and two sons. In 1986, Bob retired from General Motors and he and Marsha retired in Cambria, California where Bob enjoyed weekly ocean fishing with a local fish club. He and Marsha also traveled to Europe and China. In 2014 they moved to Emmett to be near their oldest son, Michael, and his family. The Emmett years were blessed by family gatherings and the loving community at Sacred Heart Church.
Bob is survived by his wife of sixty years, Marsha; daughters, Michelle Rassp and Lisa Chinnock; sons, Michael and Matthew Chinnock, as well as six grandchildren and six great grandchildren. We will miss him.
Funeral Services will be held at the Sacred Heart Catholic Church on Thursday, December 19, 2019 in the care of the Potter Funeral Chapel. Rosary will begin at 2:30 PM with the Funeral Mass starting at 3:00 PM. Immediately following services, burial will take place at the Emmett Cemetery.
