Richard Lee "Hank" Harless

Richard (Hank) Lee Harless 69 of Payette, Idaho (formally of Villa Grove, Ill.) passed into the hands of the Lord 1030 pm October 5th 2018 at Saint Luke’s Hospital, Boise, Idaho. He was born August 18th 1949 in Tuscola, Ill. He was married to Pamela J. (Kappas) Harless (Deceased) and they had one Daughter Jennifer J. Harless (Barbee) and son in law Matthew Barbee. He was preceded in death by Roy A. Harless Sr. (Father), Jennie M. Akers (Mother), Roy (Jake) A. Harless Jr., Pamela J. (Kappas) Harless. He is survived by Jennifer J. (Harless) Barbee, Matthew Barbee, 2 Grandchildren, Melva M. Ponder (Sister), and 7 nieces and nephews and several great nieces and nephews.

            He served with the United States Marine Corps in Vietnam 1968-1969; he was medically discharged in 1969. He worked as a Plumber by Trade until he retired. He worked for Kappas Plumbing and Heating in Villa Grove, IL until he moved to Idaho 25 years ago.  He enjoyed baseball and football as well as fishing and hunting. He loved the Mountains and that is what drew him to Idaho. Hank enjoyed social activities and was a Life Member of the VFW, in Villa Grove.  A memorial service will be held on Friday October 12, 2018 at the Idaho State Veterans Cemetery in Boise, Idaho.  Services are under the direction of the Potter Funeral Chapel Emmett, Idaho.
