A TRUE AMERICAN & A DIE-HARD COWBOY
Ronald D. Webb, 77, passed away on May 25, 2019 in Meridian, Idaho. He was born on March 18, 1942 in Castleford, Idaho to Roy William Webb and Evelyn Augusta Hart.
Ron grew up in Castleford, Idaho. He graduated from Buhl High School in 1960. Ron joined the US Army in 1962, first assigned to the 101st Air Borne Division in Fort Campbell, Kentucky. He was later assigned to the First Sea Borne Division based in Corpus Christi, Texas. Ron trained officers to rebuild helicopters during the Vietnam War. While in the army, he studied at Delmar Technical Institute in Corpus Christi, Texas from 1965 to 1967.
After his honorable discharge in 1968, Ron worked in the electrical industry and became an IBEW member serving first as apprentice, and journeyman wireman, to foreman, general foreman and finally as a field superintendent. Ron had a passion for designing and improving equipment. He successfully designed an automated malt leveling system for Western Malting in Idaho.
In 1988 Ron founded Webb Power Systems for designing and patenting a prefabricated wiring system for electrical construction. In 1998 Ron co-founded P&R Enterprises, LLC and its subsidiary PRE Wired Systems, LLC, which manufactured and supplied his patented inventions in many construction buildings throughout the US.
Ron loved horses, fishing, outdoor living and western music.
Ron was preceded in death by wife Catherine Lorang; parents, Roy & Evelyn Webb; brothers, Roger Webb, Bruce Webb and sister, Sandra Fergerson. He is survived by sisters, Wanda Grigg, Leah Jayne Hart; daughters, Kelly Huit and Kim Davis; grandchildren, Lindsay and Curtis Roberts.
Graveside memorial services will be held at 11:00 AM on June 10th at the Idaho State Veterans Cemetery (10100 Horseshoe Bend Road) in Boise, Idaho under the direction of the Potter Funeral Chapel of Emmett.
