PATRICIA LOYD Obituary

Patricia (Patty) Ann Loyd was a wonderful woman that was loved, is missed and will always be cherished. She was her father’s little “Pattywacker.” She was born to Norman and Lorraine Loyd in Boise, Idaho on May 8, 1958.  She was referred to as “Nana” by her most precious and loved grandchildren and great grandchild. She passed away in Nampa, Idaho at the home of her mother after several extended medical issues on August 11, 2019.

Patty was second to the youngest of 7 children to parents Charles and Lorraine Loyd. Her siblings include Carol Heppler (Gary), Larry Loyd (deceased), Diana Zavala, Peggy Davis (Widdy), Rose Eggers (Joel-deceased) and little brother Chuck Loyd.

Patty was mother to Billie Jo Loyd (deceased) and Cody William Loyd. “Nana” loved and cherished Billie’s children, Tyler, Joshua and Bella. She was also “Nana” to Ryder, Khaleesi, Charlette, our precious Xakiah and little Avalee, the children of Cody and Casey Loyd. The additional love of her life was her great granddaughter Sophia, daughter of Joshua.

Patty was an amazing and independent woman; she loved to spend time with her family, her friends and anyone’s babies. She loved to shop and one of her favorite sayings was, “If I don’t need it someone else might.” She has always lived in the Treasure Valley but was proud of the home that she had been able to purchase in Kuna, ID. She was living there at the time of her passing. Although she never graduated from high school she was smart about a lot of things. If she didn’t know how to do something, she would do what she had to do to figure it out. Thank goodness for YouTube!

A piece of Patty’s heart died when our little Xakiah passed away at the age of 15 months. He was truly the light of her life. Another piece of Patty’s heart died at the passing of her daughter, Billie Jo Loyd, on May 29, 2019. Also preceded in death by her brother, Larry Loyd and her father Charles Loyd. Before his passing, Patty was blessed to have William (Bill) Campbell as her stepfather. He took her under his wing and taught her many things that are often missed between a father and daughter. She wouldn’t hesitate to take on changing the oil, changing out the brakes on the car and so many other things.

She will be missed beyond words and will forever be in our hearts.

Services will be held Saturday, August 17, 2019 at 11:00 AM at the Potter Funeral Chapel.  Burial will follow at the Sweet Cemetery in Sweet, Idaho.
