Margaret Joan Giddeon passed away peacefully on September 19, 2019 with her family by her side.
Margaret, the daughter of John and Henrietta Franco, was born in Dunsmuir, California on July 18, 1940. John and Henrietta moved their family to Emmett, Idaho in 1945. Margaret attended Emmett schools and graduated from Emmett High School in 1960.
She married Jerry Evans in 1960 and they had a son, Jerry. In 1965, Margaret married John Giddeon. It was in Emmett where Margaret and John made their home, worked in their community and raised their son and daughter, Jerry and Marti.
Margaret was employed for several years at Terry’s Department store and then at Treasure Valley Bank. She enjoyed working environments that allowed her to be helpful and caring towards people.
She was an avid bowler and dedicated much of her life to perfecting her curve ball. Her bowling allowed her to travel the country, build lifelong friendships with team members and provided the perfect outlet for her competitive spirit.
Margaret is survived by her son, Jerry Evans and his wife, Karen; her daughter, Marti Cox and her husband, Brett; her brother, Ross Woolley and his wife Dixie; her twin brother, Martin Franco, and several loving nieces and nephews. Her brother, Lawrence Webb, preceded her in death.
Margaret was blessed with two wonderful granddaughters, Amanda Rose and Jacee Cox and two sweet great-granddaughters, Hadyn and Josslyn. They will all miss her dearly.
Jerry and Marti would like to express their sincere gratitude to all of Margaret’s family and friends. You provided her with love and comfort over her lifetime and your companionship meant a great deal to her. To her care teams at Meadow View Assisted Living and Lighthouse Hospice, “thank you!” The care and respect you gave our mom was greater than we could have ever imagined.
Memorial services will be Tuesday, September 24, 2019 at 3:00 pm at Potter Funeral Chapel in Emmett.
