JOHN GIBSON Obituary

 In loving memory of John Henry Gibson, we commemorate him as a beloved husband, father and friend. John entered into rest Wednesday, July 10, 2019 at a hospital in Meridian, Idaho.  He was born March 4, 1955 in Fort Bragg, California to Karl and Dorothy Gibson. John attended and graduated from Sutter High School in Sutter, California and received an associates degree from Yuba College in Marysville, California.
 John moved to Emmett in July 1989. He worked for Overhead Door as an installer and worked his way up to a salesman until 2016. He and his wife Donna moved to Fruitland in June 2002.
 John was diagnosed with pancreatic cancer June 2017.  He loved people, he enjoyed his work and people responded to him positively.  John enjoyed golfing for a while but most recently he loved fishing, RV’ing and going to the coast.
 John is survived by his wife, Donna; brother, Karl (Beverly) Gibson; his son, Josh (Margaret) Gibson; daughter, Holly (Chad) Franklin; stepdaughters, April (Tony) Young, Sue (Randy) Young and Debbie (Randy) Zylka; 16 grandkids and 14 great grandkids.

 Graveside services will take place first at 10:30 AM on Monday, July 15, 2019 at the Parkview Cemetery in New Plymouth.  Those services will be followed up by the Memorial Service at the Our Redeemer Lutheran Church in Emmett at 12:00, noon.  Services are under the care of the Potter Funeral Chapel of Emmett.
