Alpha Elizabeth Palmer 102 of Emmett, passed away Sunday April 1, 2018 at a local hospital. Alpha was born on November 29, 1915 at Edison, Tennessee. She was the daughter of Matt and Maude Anderson. She was of the Baptist faith. Alpha attended school at Lynn View and Big Springs schools. She came to Idaho with her parents in 1940. Alpha met and married Clarence Rants. They worked for Soulen Livestock Co. for 20 years. Mr. Rants passed away in 1063. She returned to Tennessee and lived there until 1966. She met and married Clyde Palmer. They returned to Idaho, and made their home in Emmett. Alpha worked for M.W. Sanders in the packing shed for 18 years. She retired and was a homemaker. She loved flowers and gardening. Alpha loved people too! She was preceded in death by her husband Clyde in May of 1997, parents and a brother Elmer Anderson. She is survived by 4 nieces and a nephew, and many cousins and friends whom she dearly loved. A viewing will be held at 1:00 pm Saturday April 7 at the Potter Funeral Chapel in Emmett, and services will be held at 2:00 that day. Burial will follow at the Emmett Cemetery.
